The University of Utah Park City Institute
The University of Utah’s Park City Institute was launched in 2005 as part of the university’s Together We Reach Capital Campaign. It is a series of lectures given by distinguished university faculty and scholars. The institute is designed to deepen and enhance the relationship between the U and the citizens of Summit County. It is a great opportunity for the community to visit with the U’s outstanding faculty and, in some cases, their students, and to learn more about the U’s innovative scientific and medical research and outstanding academic programs. We are coming off yet another successful season filled with inventive, interesting and insightful information–all from the wonderful faculty, administration and staff at the University of Utah. Each lecture provided awareness of the amazing work the U is doing. We are so happy to have been able to share it with you, our friends, and look forward to filling you with additional knowledge once the 2012 season begins in March. Our success is enhanced by the fabulous people and entities we work with. Special thanks to Done To Your Taste catering – they always have sumptuous treats on hands to kick start our lectures; Wasatch Audio Visual – they are our A/V specialists enabling you to enjoy the speakers’ presentations as well as providing the podcasts, should you miss a lecture or two; and last but not least, Utah Olympic Park – their partnership and support of the Park City Institute is unsurpassed. Thank you all for allowing us to shine each season. We will once again be bringing back the Park City Institute Holiday Concert at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on December 6. The musical program will begin at 7:00 PM with desserts and hot beverages before and after. This year’s event promises to put you in the holiday spirit with a fantastic and inspiring selection from the U’s College of Music Graduate Vocals and Crimson Harps. Again, thank you for your interest in the University of Utah’s Park City Institute. We hope to see you in December and at the 2012 Lecture Series! |
